What Work experience do you need to work in Finland?

In Finland, there is an 8-hour work day and 40 weekly hours for employees. There is no generally accepted minimum wage in Finland as every industry determines the minimum wage for workers. Employees in Finland are entitled sick pay once they have worked for a company for up to one month.

All the employee need to do is provide a doctor’s report that he or she has been sick. During the first month of employment, the sick pay is usually 50% of the employee’s salary. In cases where an employee uses up his sick pay, such an employee is entitled to 70% of his/her salary from the Social Insurance Institution of Finland (KELA).

As a working parent in Finland, you are entitled to up to 263 weekdays of leave. During the family leave, parents are entitled to receive a daily allowance from KELA. Employees in Finland are also entitled to study leave if they have worked in a particular company for one year.
